Hey Hey! First off, let me start by saying that this is totally new to me and out of my comfort zone. I am NOT a grammar girl and I will probably drive most of yall nuts with that!

Let me tell you a little about me. I am a born and raised TX girl that met her prince charming one night while waiting tables. He is from North Dakota and I had talked him into ordering the chicken fried steak. A phone number exchange by the end of the night and well 17 years later here we are! Married with a daughter, a Catahoula named Gunner, a cat named Luci, and 4 chickens. About 5 years ago we moved to GA and now live in the beautiful North GA Mountains! We live the crazy life that most live between travel softball, work, household responsibilities, etc… The famous words in our house are “what’s for dinner??”

My love for cooking did not come easy nor fast. When I first got married I struggled with a simple task of a grilled cheese sandwich, boiling water….and the famous Ranch Pork Chops! I thought that Ranch pork chops meant pouring a bottle of ranch on pork chops and baking them…..Yeah that was gross! Ha! I started really cooking about 4 years ago. I started off small and worked my way up. I love to create and come up with random stuff to make. I love being in the kitchen. It is a stress reliever for me. I love feeding people, setting the table and joining in amazing conversation! Everyone who knows us, knows that the door is always open and the table is set and there will be plenty of food! I have been sharing my journey and pictures on my personal fb acct and decided that this will be the next step in my adventure.

I am not trained in any way. I make mistakes and I will gladly post my fails! LOL We always keep pizza delivery on speed dial just in case. Let me tell you something…all of the “fails” have made the person I am today in the kitchen. If we don’t try then we will never succeed.

I hope you join me and love this blog as much as I hope to! I will bombard you with a ton of food pics, a ton of everyday pics and just random stuff! I am a Jeep mom that loves taking drives up to the mountains and taking pics and shopping at farmers markets!
